CAA observes Earth Hour

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) observed Earth Hour at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA). The officers and staff gathered at the airport and participated wholeheartedly in the ceremony.

Earth Hour was first initiated by the WWF in 2007, which has now become the world’s largest environmental awareness initiative and attracts participation from all over the world.
The Civil Aviation Authority and the airport officials held a symbolic walk holding candles in their hands and banners with messages regarding the importance of saving energy while observing Earth Hour.
As part of the event, the Civil Aviation Authority and Benazir Bhutto International Airport officials showed solidarity against climate change by switching off all non-operational
lights at the airport for one hour.
On the occasion, the Civil Aviation Authority director general expressed solidarity to the cause by reinforcing the Civil Aviation Authority’s commitment to encourage an interconnected global community, to share the opportunities and challenges of creating a sustainable world.
